Git Status, Add, Commit, Push, Branch, Checkout and Merge Commands

This lesson is just another friendly reminder to use Github often to keep your code organized. We're going to push our current changes to the master branch.

git add .

And then create a commit message

git commit -m "set up s3 storage and add fields to lessons"

Now just push

git push

The next thing we want to do is get these changes in our Unit4Lessons branch.

git checkout Unit4Lessons

Then merge the master branch into it

git merge master

Easy as that. We now have all the latest code on our master branch as well as our Unit4Lessons branch.

Happy coding!!!!
